Every year in California the courts introduce new and updated versions of forms for use. You would think that after decades of use that forms would be dialed in and pretty standard. When these new forms come out they are not always complete redrafts of old ones, but usually just small updates to existing ones.

The list for the new forms in 2014 is a rather small one. Specially with in Family Law Division of the California Courts, about 20 forms have changed. Most of the changes occur on forms that are not typically used except for special situations in cases. The most common Family law form that changed for 2014 was the Family Law “Summons”. This form is used for every single family law case filed. Aside from a few words and a bit of a design change, the form is the same.
